Hurry hard!

Well, it's all very exciting. Newfoundlanders and Labradorians are collectively proud enough to burst their buttons. The Canadian curling team (Newfoundlanders all, except for the second who is from my home province of New Brunswick) is competing for the gold medal tomorrow in Torino.

They're even closing the schools across the province tomorrow afternoon so all the little kiddies can go home to watch our own do us proud. Go get 'em boys!

I have no idea about curling, or for that matter much of a clue about the rest of the olympic sports, but I shall watch the telly in the company of the dozen canadian badgers, who seem to be quite content here for the duration btw, and cheer from time-to-time.

Misty - It's easy. Drink beer and yell, "Hurry hard!" every now and again while they're sweeping. The badgers will do the rest.

GJW - But we've got to warm up, I think, haven't we? We wouldn't want to do ourselves a mischief come the day.

Bit early for St Patrick's Day, innit?

Feh! Feh, I say!

I did a championship sized "curler" earlier today, and where was the wall-to-wall media coverage? Nowhere, that's where. These Olympic Games are rubbish.

Hum... all I have to say... hum.

Anyone fancy coming to the crown green bowling finals with me this year?

Thought not.
