This is getting to be a habit

As Joanna pointed out in a comment on the last post, yesterday's blizzard looked familiar.

From my February 26/06 post:

That storm was even worse. It left 70 cms (27.56 inches!) in that one 24 hour period and, as you can see, my car was completely buried. That green fence on the right? Starts about 4' off the ground... Through the meteorological magic that is a blizzard just over 2 feet of snow drifts to 4 feet and higher in places. I'm 5'2". Which is... yikes! is what that is.
The digging out sequence was the same, though. Start at the basement door and work your way to the road... then hot bath, linament, Ibuprophen and groan for three days...

Every little thing

Since YouTube no longer lets me post videos the handy-dandy way, since the switch to new UNIMPROVED Blogger....grrrrr.... I'll have to settle for a link the old-fashioned way.

I'm not Lisa

Or Caroline. Or Pat.
Scaryduck's post, On having an evil twin called Dave, reminded me of one of the odder aspects of my life, mainly, I seem to be sharing a face with at least two other women, neither of whom I know.
It all started during my teen years. There is another woman my age from my home town who looks so similar to me, my best friend's mother, God bless her, used to regularly run into her whilst out and about and be affronted because "I" wouldn't speak to her. I would have been nowhere near the place she'd seen "me."
Around the same time,a hairdresser who cut my hair on a regular basis told me my sister was another of his clients. I have no sisters.
Shortly after the hairdresser incident, a new co-worker told me I looked just like one of her friends named Caroline. She showed me a picture. I did. I'm assuming this was the same person spotted by my friend's mom and the hairdresser.

Then I moved a thousand miles or so away and it started all over again.
A dentist I worked with told me my sister was one of his patients. I have no sisters.

A coffee shop clerk told me she saw my picture in the paper the previous day. Wasn't me.

At an outdoor concert, someone called out, "What are YOU doing here?" then called me by another name, and started chatting away not 3 feet from me, and was genuinely surprised when I claimed not to be the person she thought I was. She called over 3 colleagues who all swore I was a dead ringer for another of their colleagues named Pat.
On several occasions, I've had total strangers start talking to me in public and be just as startled that I wasn't who they thought I was.
By my reckoning there are at least three woman in Atlantic Canada who look just like me. Which is rather cruel and unusual punishment for everyone else, I think.

Someone alert Andy Warhol

I had a small portion of my 15 minutes of fame the other night. Sort of. After attending a play, for which I did the layout for the program, I was introduced to the director. Upon hearing my name he said, "You're Dawn ******!!!" in the same awe-struck tone I would reserve for meeting a lifelong hero. I may never hear my name spoken like that again.

Time to rename the blog...

And today we offer you another fine, intelligent and mature test. *giggle* "No, you say hi to him! Got any hairspray? Can I borrow your math homework? Oh!migod! Did you see that? As if!" *rolls eyes and sighs*

Yes, it's another post brought to you by the 13-year old me. As you can see, I am a fake. Only 28% wrath. That's not very respectible score for someone with my blog name. I shall have to rename it Barely Noticeable Snit of Dawn.

Have fun, kiddies. I'm going off to sulk in my room and stare at rock star posters*.

Your Wrath Quotient: 28%

Sometimes you get really angry, but nothing out of the norm.

While you may wish someone harm, it's pretty unlikely that you'd actually do anything about it.

*In actuality, shovel the 10 cms of snow which was followed by 20 cms of rain. Have you ever tried to shovel slush? It's like lead. And the fun times just keep on comin'...
