Rant #1

People who feel they have superior taste in clothing and have editorial rights over everyone else. I shall pick my own clothes, thankewverymuch. You get to dress yourself. I get to dress me. I won't laugh if you don't.

Mwa ha! Funnily enough, pale anything makes me look like death warmed over. The pastels and I, we are not friends.

That was still better than the "friend" who felt it necessary to inform me repeatedly that she didn't like my hair colour. The hair colour that EVERYONE ELSE liked and many remarked that it "takes 10 years off you." Grrr. And foils, pet. You're in desperate need of foils.

I hope you told this 'friend' that she looked fat in those pants. And everything else she wore.

I'm better in dark colours and/or jewel tones (I think that's what you call them). My colouring is cool. Just like me, mwahaha. =)

Um... not either of you re the foils... the hair-colour hating "friend."

I call them jewel colours, too. And they're what I need to wear. 'Cause WE is cool!

Only mine is only intermittant these days.

What? There's nothing wrong with a little black dress! :P

BTW, I keep seeing those fish from your header at Michaels and wondering where I've seen them before. The mind's the first thing to go, they say.

i am fascinated by drew barrymore's outfit (including the hair)....is she trying to look like some kind of insect? that must be a picture from the roller derby movie she directed. the young woman in the black dress was the star of that movie.

My black dresses aren't little. Heh!

I got those fish at a dollar store. And my mind's been gone for years. YEARS!

Drew's dress and hair kind of defy description, never mind rationale. I'm not sure where the pic was taken, but you're very likely correct that it's from some do for the roller derby flick, seeing as Ellen Paige is in it. And looking very sane by comparison, I must say.

Found it. The dress and hair debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival last September. The dress, by Alexander McQueen, got raves. The hair, not so much, although I happen to like it a lot--especially with the dress. I think everybody is just JEALOUS. Also, Barrymore ditched her own after-party in favor of going to a place/event called Sweaty Bettys. Just what I'd do.

I'm not a fan of the hair. I don't mind the colour, it just looks frizzy to me.

I still can't make my mind up about the dress. First of all, I'm not a big lover of the colour yellow. Then there's the bug resemblance. It certainly gives you lots of detail to look at, though, doesn't it?

One of my theatre buddies has a film entered in this year's Toronto Film Festival's Emerging Filmmaker competition. You can watch it here if you're interested: http://tiff.cment.net/step1.html
